Week Ending, 30.11.12

Posted by on 29/11/2012

Hello everyone!

Well December is nearly here and I know how busy you must all be at home preparing for THE big day, as we are at school! This week have been working hard at practising our Christmas production, all the children are doing SO well, reading and singing (oh… and acting) with confidence and great expression too! Thank you for all the support you are giving them at home.

You will have received a note outlining what ‘costume’ items your child will need (if possible), these can come into school at any time now – the sooner the better – please let me know if you have any problems supplying these. Thank you!

Much of our Literacy work this week has been Speaking and Listening, but we have also squeezed in ‘reading for information’. We have been focusing on non-fiction books and working hard to refer to the text to answer questions about the information.

In Maths we have continuing with our shape work, we have been identifying and creating patterns this week and thoroughly enjoyed exploring a range of resources. We also enjoyed  working alongside one another, cooperating and collaborating to extend our ideas.

Have a lovely weekend, it’s getting chillier!

Mrs King
