Week Beginning 22nd April, 2013

Posted by on 24/04/2013

Here’s hoping everyone had a lovely Easter Break, it seems impossible that we are in our last term already! Class 8 are busy as always, working on various topics across the curriculum.

We have been looking at living and non living things in our local environment and are beginning to look at the different habitats that living things use as homes and feeding places

In maths we have continued with our measuring (mass) and been revisiting arrays to help us to continue to develop our early multiplication skills.

In Literacy we have been writing some wonderful poems entitled WINGS …

Here are a few examples to show what amazing poets we are…

If I had wings, I would breathe the deep, soft air from the planes in the blue sky.

If I had wings, I would smell the gushing water from the waterfall.

If I had wings, I would breathe the smooth air blowing the beautiful flowers.

If I had wings, I would taste the clouds as fluffy as candy floss.

If I had wings,I would dream of flying above a beautiful carnival.

If I had wings, I would listen to the birds sing a happy melody as they fly by.

If I had wings, I would touch the sun as hot as a boiled kettle in an oven.

If I had wings, I would smell the smoke of chimneys.

If I had wings, I would dream of flying to space!

If I had wings,
I would taste the pink candy floss clouds,
While they blow in the wind.

If I had wings,
I would smell the stunning flowers,
While bees collect their honey.

If I had wings,
I would listen to the blue raindrops,
While they drop into a puddle.

If I had wings,
I would dream I was on the beach and I swam with a dolphin
While they eat fish.
