It’s a Bug’s Life at the CLC!

Posted by on 10/05/2013

What a fantastic time we had this week!

On Wednesday Class 8 went to the CLC with ‘Orange’ class from Abacus Primary. We all had a lovely time and worked on a range of activities linked to mini-beasts and animals and their habitats. We investigated the CLC outside area and went on a bug hunt… carefully observing and classifying a range of worms, slugs and snails and insects and spiders!

We also made bug hats and listened to a range of ‘Buggy’ songs and then danced along to the beat!

Some children used the Ipads to create some film ‘stills’, revisiting some of our Cine Literacy skills from last term…. we took aerial shots and close ups. Wide angle shots and low angle shots to create characters for our Bug stories.

We also designed some ‘secret gardens’ and created some amazing imaginary bugs and animals with playdoh!

A GOOD TIME WAS HAD BY ALL! MANY, MANY THANKS TO OUR HELPERS FOR THE DAY!

WE VALUE YOUR TIME AND THE CHILDREN WOULD LIKE TO SAY AN ENORMOUS …

THANK YOU!
